Vibrant digital glitch animation with high-contrast neon colors and retro 80s signal interference style.

Overview

As part of the Wonder Woman 1984 global launch, Microsoft collaborated with Warner Bros. to create a digital campaign that connected the film’s narrative of empowerment and discovery with the power of technology. The concept: “Turn your tech skills into superpowers.” The campaign combined cinematic visuals with the sleek precision of Microsoft’s brand world — blending mythology, coding, and futuristic design into one cohesive experience. I was responsible for developing the master graphics and animation assets that brought this collaboration to life, ensuring both brands coexisted in a visually seamless way.

•→ Master Graphics

Where mythology meets modern tech

The master graphics established the visual tone for all global campaign materials — from social banners to the official microsite and hero visuals. Each composition merged WW84’s retro-futuristic energy with Microsoft’s clean, minimalist aesthetic. Digital retouching was done manually (pre-AI), ensuring a consistent cinematic quality across all composited elements: Wonder Woman’s armor, classical artifacts, and Microsoft devices. Lighting, reflections, and color grading were meticulously balanced to create depth and realism while maintaining the brand’s precision and polish.

Bringing the glitch to life

The animation work centered on recreating the WW84 digital glitch effect — a signature texture of the film’s identity — to enhance Microsoft’s campaign visuals and motion content. Each animated element was developed frame-by-frame, blending RGB interference, pixel distortion, and kinetic typography into a dynamic rhythm that matched the campaign’s bold tone. These animations were used across digital banners, microsite transitions, and social storytelling assets, giving the campaign a cohesive and cinematic motion identity.
